About The AI Governance Hub.

A focused platform for the people building — and hiring for — trustworthy AI.

The practitioner behind the platform.

Christopher L. Buford is an AI governance and security practitioner with 25 years of hands-on enterprise technology experience and 16 years operating specifically inside healthcare organizations, including McKesson, Change Healthcare, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and URMC.

He did not enter AI governance through a talent business. He entered the talent business through AI governance.

That distinction is the foundation this platform stands on.

Christopher has spent 25 years inside the environments that AI governance frameworks are written to protect. Building networks. Architecting cloud infrastructure. Deploying VDI environments. Managing on-premises storage and compute. Hardening systems inside HIPAA-regulated health systems and PCI-DSS governed financial services organizations. Leading ML projects. Working hands-on with Anthropic Claude, MCP server architectures, agentic AI systems, IBM watsonx.governance, and AI security and red-teaming methodologies. He built this platform itself using those same technologies.

The credentials reflect that depth. AI Governance Professional (AIGP) through IAPP. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) through ISC2. Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) through CSA. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Not credentials earned to enter the field. Credentials earned because the work demanded them.

The regulatory fluency is operational, not academic. HIPAA and HITECH. FDA AI guidance for software as a medical device. CMS AI in prior authorization. NIST AI RMF. ISO 42001. EU AI Act. State-level legislation including Colorado SB 24-205. Christopher knows these frameworks because he has operated inside organizations where they govern real systems, real patient data, and real financial transactions.

He started looking for a dedicated home for AI governance professionals and the organizations that need them. He found generic job boards. Scattered resources. No curated listings, no weekly briefing, no talent platform built by someone who had actually operated inside this field.

So he built one.

The AI Governance Hub is a job board, a talent platform, and a content resource, all focused exclusively on AI governance, safety, security, and policy. For practitioners looking for their next role. For organizations trying to find the right person in a field where the wrong hire is expensive and the talent is genuinely hard to evaluate. And for everyone in between trying to understand where this profession is going.

This platform was not built by someone who learned AI governance in order to place people in it. It was built by someone who has lived it for 25 years and recognized that the community deserved a dedicated home.
