How it works
1. Scoping call
We define the role, the must-haves, the deal-breakers, and what success looks like in 12 months.
2. Curated sourcing
We source from our network and the broader AI governance community — not a generic LinkedIn pull.
3. Shortlist delivery
A small, qualified shortlist with our written assessment of each candidate's fit.
Why specialization matters
Domain fluency
We can tell the difference between governance theater and governance practice — and so can the candidates we source.
Focused network
Our network is built from the people who read The Governance Stack and follow this field full-time.
Editorial credibility
Candidates engage because we publish in the space, not because we cold-pitch every senior PM on LinkedIn.
Less noise, faster close
Smaller, sharper shortlists shorten time-to-hire and reduce interview load on your team.
Why Working With Us Is Different
Most talent platforms and search firms working in technical fields learned the field by placing people in it. The AI Governance Hub was built by an AI governance and security practitioner who spent 25 years operating inside the environments your next governance hire will be responsible for protecting.
Christopher L. Buford holds the AIGP through IAPP, the CCSP through ISC2, and the CCSK through CSA. He has direct hands-on experience with the tools, systems, and frameworks his candidates work with every day: Anthropic Claude, MCP server architectures, agentic AI development, IBM watsonx.governance, AI security and red-teaming, EHR ecosystem risk, and cloud architecture across regulated environments.
His 16 years inside healthcare organizations, including McKesson, Change Healthcare, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and URMC, means he understands what AI governance looks like in practice inside the sectors you operate in, not just in theory.
The regulatory landscape your governance hire will navigate is not abstract to this platform. HIPAA and HITECH. FDA AI guidance for software as a medical device. NIST AI RMF. ISO 42001. EU AI Act. CMS AI in prior authorization. State-level legislation. Christopher knows these frameworks because he has worked inside organizations where compliance failures are not legal events in the abstract. They are operational events with real consequences.
That practitioner depth produces one thing a generalist talent firm cannot replicate: the ability to evaluate whether a candidate can actually do the job, not just describe it.
Every candidate presented through this platform has been assessed by someone who understands AI governance and security at an operational level across both technical and regulatory dimensions. That is the difference between a talent partner who learned this field and one who came from it.
